Factors to consider when looking at high consumption:-

1. Length of the bill - could be a longer bill than normal

2. Weather conditions / Season - your air conditioner works harder in the hottest months of the year (uses more energy)

3. Concession Rebates - if you have one, is it applied?

4. Extra people in household - more showers, more electricity used

5. New Appliances - setting up a brand new fridge will consume a lot of energy to get it up and ready at the correct temperature

6. Faulty Appliances - maybe a fault appliance drawing more energy than normal

7. Old Appliances (not energy efficient any more)

8. Heating and Cooling
